Although summer has come to an end and the leaves are starting to fall, Kindervelt is warming up for our busy season. The next few weeks will be filled with Kindervelt Krafts, Bake Sales, Casino Royale Fall Event and much more. A special thanks to the South Region for hosting an amazing Bourbon, Brews, and BBQ event Sept 6th. I also want to take a moment to welcome all the new Kindervelt members who have joined. Our membership continues to grow and I look forward to meeting all of our new members throughout the year.
Early September marked this year’s first Leadership meeting and I was so energized by being surrounded by such an amazing group of talented women. Our inspirational quote to start the year was, “It May Not Be Easy, but it will be worth it.” I find this to be true as we look at changes that we want to put into place to set up Kindervelt for success for the next 50 years. We also had the opportunity to hear from Dr Daniel T. Starczynowski. He shared details about the breakthrough research that the Advanced Leukemia Therapies and Research Center has delivered and is working towards in the future focused on their “Bench to Bedside” strategy. Kindervelt is in a unique position to help support the growth of biorepositories/data registries for future research and accelerate the identification of new immune-based therapies that can lead to new drug candidates for clinical trials. I know many of you are eager to start sharing more information about the new division. We are working with the division and brand team to develop an information pamphlet to share.
The Fall event, Casino Royale, is right around the corner on Oct. 26th. Please mark your calendars for a fun-filled night with casino games, delicious food and dance the night away with the Blue Water Kings live band. Please spread the word and invite friends and family. We are also seeking sponsorship for the event. Please share sponsorship opportunities for the event. Please feel free to share the video link below to spread the word. Casino Royale Fall Event Oct 26th.
Our Social Media Chair is hard at work keeping our social media channels updated with the latest information. Make sure to check out “Kindervelt Friday Facts” Posts and “Why Kindervelt Wednesday” which features KV member’s WHY story on being a member of Kindervelt.
Lastly, the Kindervelt branding refresh is moving forward and we are eager to share it with the broader Kindervelt organization at our Fall Event reveal. Don’t miss the opportunity to be among the first to see our new logo.
I would like to leave you with this quote, recognizing the importance of helping others.
“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is what are you doing for others” Martin Luther King Jr.
