President’s Message – May 2024

As I enter the last month of serving as Kindervelt’s City President, some Cincinnati Reds fans might compare these final days to a baseball game when a player is rounding third and heading for home.  I’m happy to have been a player in the game and will always be a fan of Kindervelt. During these past two years, I have met so many wonderful people and have made some lifelong friendships.

A big thank you to my Board of Trustees who have been a constant support system, Keith Henize and Kelly Bollinger for the hospital guidance and support, and all the group presidents who continually encourage our mission. A special thank you to my Kindervelt group, #16, and my family for their love and encouragement through this memorable journey.

Please join me May 15th at the Cincinnati Woman’s Club for our Annual Meeting and dinner to celebrate our final check to the Division of Critical Care Medicine and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. It has been a rewarding experience to raise funds for the PICU division. Together, we have made a difference and will continue to do so with the leadership of our incoming president, Suzanne Nemeth, who will begin Kindervelt’s next focus of fundraising efforts. I know she will do a fantastic job as our next president.

It has been an amazing two years with so many friendships and memories to cherish. I’m looking forward to seeing you along the way at many more future Kindervelt events.

Your friend in Kindervelt,
Cindy Burger
Kindervelt City President
2022-2024
