The month of March brings St. Patrick’s Day and the luck of the Irish. I feel lucky to be a part of Kindervelt, volunteering with caring, generous people who are making a difference in the lives of children every day.
The Fitzgibbons family are a true example of Kindervelt generosity. Amy Fitzgibbons, a former Kindervelt member, her husband Michael and their son, Shaun Fitzgibbons, housed our storage trailer full of Markt display items, KV Kraft items and event items over the years. We have been lucky to have had the generous support of the Fitzgibbons family for more than 15 years. A BIG THANK YOU to the Fitzgibbon’s family!
Congratulations to Ginny Myer and Sherry Weckenbrock for a well-organized and fun pickleball event last weekend. I, too, joined the fun and played in the tournament. I may be a beginner at the game but I’m “a winner at heart.” Thank you Kindervelt #8 and Kindervelt #45.
As we enter the fourth quarter of our fiscal year, Kindervelt groups are busy with many group activities and events. We have a Princess Party, Fashion Shows, Spring Bunko’s, Golf Outings, a Margaritaville Luncheon and a Havana Nights Event just to name a few. Kindervelt members are also busy assembling a new slate of Board of Trustees for the 2024-2025 year and working on the selection of the 2024 Barbara Fitch Award winner to be announced at our Annual Meeting on May 15th.
I hope to see you at our Citywide Event, KV Bowl; “Strike Up the Fun,” this Saturday. Make sure to take a look at all the Silent Auction items.
May the luck of the Irish be with you and with all your group activities and events!
