President’s Message – April 2025

Dear Kindervelt Family,

As we welcome April with its gentle showers, let’s take a moment to reflect on how our efforts are sowing seeds that will bloom into something beautiful. We’re nearing the end of our first year supporting the Advanced Leukemia Therapies Research Center, and I couldn’t be more impressed with our collective fundraising efforts! Your hard work and dedication are truly making a difference.

You may have noticed some fresh updates on our social media and website as we begin to unveil our new branding. While the full rollout won’t be mandatory until June 2025, I’ve heard such positive feedback already and I hope you’re feeling the excitement too! Our new Branding Guide was shared at the March leadership meeting and it’s a fantastic resource for showcasing our new logo across all platforms.

In case you missed it, Kindervelt was recently featured in Sophisticated Giving (pg. 103) and recognized at the reveal gathering earlier this month at the Cincinnati Art Museum. A big thank you to our External Relations PR Chair, Natalie Meyer, for helping us reach over 11,500 homes with our message! Be sure to check out the magazine and share it with your friends and family to spread the word about our amazing work.  Click here to review : Sophisticated Giving Kindervelt

I’d also like to remind you to register for our Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 22nd, at the Terrace Park Country Club. Join us for a delightful evening as we celebrate our achievements and look toward an even brighter future. Annual Meeting Registration

Our KV BOT slate is nearly complete, but we still have a few positions open. If you’re interested in volunteering your time and talents to help Kindervelt thrive, please reach out to Cindy Burger or me.

On a personal note, I want to share that March was a tough month for me as I lost my mother Eleanora Torontali to cancer. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family.  She exemplified the importance of giving back to the community throughout her life and I am proud to follow in her footsteps.  I am the person I am today because of her. This experience has deepened my appreciation for family and the strong community we have in Kindervelt. Thank you all for your support during this difficult time; it truly means the world to me.

As we move forward together, I want to leave you with a quote that resonates with me: “Holding on is believing that there’s only a past; letting go is knowing that there’s a future.” – Daphne Rose Kingma.

Thank you for your unwavering passion and dedication to Kindervelt. Together, we’re creating a lasting impact!
Warm Regards,
Suzanne Nemeth
Kindervelt City President
