President’s Message – May 2022

With one month left on my term as City President, my heart is blooming with gratitude. I thank every Kindervelt member for their contributions of hard work, time, creativity, and financial support. I thank their families too as they often help as well. Special thanks go to my Board of Trustees who are wonderful ladies to work with, Keith Henize and Kelly Bollinger who are always there for us keeping us connected to CCHMC, the group presidents who go the extra mile to keep their groups running smoothing, and of course, all our generous sponsors. I must mention my loving family as well for supporting me in this adventure.

One constant theme throughout my 2-year term has been AMAZEMENT! I am continually amazed at the breadth of work we continued to do despite the pandemic. Every month I would be presented with more and more project forms and contracts to approve. I know we are going to be amazed on May 18that Kenwood Country Club, when we present our 2nd check to the Division of Critical Care Medicine and the PICU. ALL are welcome to attend; you don’t want to miss it! Be sure to sign up today (deadline is May 8th) to register to attend by simply clicking on the link in this edition.

It was a fun year celebrating our 50th anniversary and I am honored to have served as your president. I love Kindervelt! Thank you for making it a wonderful organization. We have made a difference and will continue to do so under the leadership of Cindy Burger (KV 16) for the next two years. I wish her the best; she is the best, and will do a great job.

Thanks again and see you at the Annual Meeting and many more future Kindervelt events!

Katrina Smith
