Charitable Gift Annuity
A charitable gift annuity is a contractual agreement between you and Cincinnati Children’s. The contract guarantees that in exchange for your irrevocable gift of money or securities, Cincinnati Children’s will pay you and/or another beneficiary a fixed dollar amount each year for the rest of your lives. Upon the beneficiary’s death(s), the amount remaining will help Kindervelt of Cincinnati Children’s carry out its important work. The annuity rate depends on the age(s) of the beneficiary(ies) and the amount of the gift. If the charitable gift annuity is funded with appreciated securities, the capital gains tax is reduced over your lifetime. A charitable gift annuity requires minimum funding of $100,000 and the donor must be at least 65 years old.
